Terme Spa and water park, located just north of Bucharest on the DN1 highway, is a world class facility to compete with any I’ve seen around the world. In addition, it is claimed as being the largest of its kind in Europe.  You can pay for 3.5 hour sessions (approx 12 euros per person) or a whole day (approx 23 euros)

It comprrises 3 main areas

The Palm: this is described as the peaceful area.  The main pool here is surrounded by many real palm trees, brought from the furthest-flung corners of the world. The air here is always at the temperature of a balmy summer, while the pool is kept at a perfect 33 decrees Celsius.  There are 3 aromatherapy pools, large sunbathing terraces, hydro-massage chaise longues.

Galaxy: this is the waterslide and childrens/family entertainment area.  With many grades of slides, a giant wave pool (the largest in Romania) and may quiet areas to lie back and rest.

Elysium: an adults only area comprising 6 saunas, a saline pool, a mineral water pool and a magnisium-infused pool, pool bars, massage areas and an a la carte restraurant.
